We are seeking a dedicated Health Safety and Environmental Lead to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the effective management of our Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Health and Safety systems.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of our Quality Management System (QMS) and procedures, ensuring process compliance, deploying internal audits, and ensuring ongoing certification to ISO 9001 and IATF standards.

You will also be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental policies and standards are applied, creating a culture of safety first to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and procedures, ensuring process compliance and deploying internal audits to deliver ongoing ISO 9001 and IATF certification.
  • Ensuring health, safety, and environmental policies and standards are applied, creating a culture of safety first to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Working cross-functionally with other department heads to improve the working environment and business processes, ensuring the successful continuance of business operations.
  • Coordinating and attending Quality Management System Reviews, supported by the General Manager.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans and Process Controls in accordance with IATF and customer requirements.
  • Monitoring customer, plant, and supplier quality performance, providing rapid response for quality problems driving robust problem-solving activities to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Conducting supplier evaluation and audits to IATF, quality, environmental, and safety requirements, in collaboration with procurement specialists.
  • Facilitating accident/incident/near miss investigations in line with protocol, utilising 5 WHY, brainstorming, and 8D methodologies.
  • Ensuring risk assessments are reviewed periodically to ensure suitability for business needs and conformity to regulatory requirements, supported by line managers and supervisors.
Requirements
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
  • Proven management of IATF 16949 processes and procedures.
  • Certified management system qualifications and experience.
  • Experience in industry-recognised problem-solving methodologies.
Earning Potential

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
