Project Manager - Civil Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects across Cumbria and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication, coordination, and collaboration among team members.
  • Client Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring project deliverables align with expectations.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving strategies when necessary.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiency in project execution.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering sector.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficient in project management software and tools, familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Certifications: PMP or other relevant certifications a plus.
