Project Engineer - Facilities Management

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading National Facilities Management company at one of their prestigious clients' sites in Barrow in Furness, who are experiencing significant growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with commercial, technical, and operational management to develop contractor lists and identify new business prospects.
  • Work with the Contracts Manager to prepare annual business plans, highlighting opportunities and developing the small projects' operations.
  • Prepare programmes, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Procure labour, materials, and sub-contractors in accordance with buying procedures, minimizing waste and costs.
  • Liaise with Management to keep them informed of contract progress and issues that may affect the contract's running.
  • Develop an in-house cost-effective and multi-skilled team of technicians based on current and projected project activity.
  • Manage and supervise staff and sub-contractors, ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate project administration files and costs (financial records).
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in a Project Engineering or Senior Electricians role.
  • Knowledge of key operational management disciplines, including quality control, work planning methods, and Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • IT literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
  • Valid full driving license.
  • Ability to gain SC clearance (supported by site).
  • Educated to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent).
