About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to patients across the lifespan.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation, supervision, and teaching to other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in an inpatient environment or a different profession within adult mental health.
  • Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
