Technical Director – Software Engineering – Payments at Harrington Starr

This exceptional leadership opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Technical Director to spearhead the software engineering function at a cutting-edge payments company within the financial technology space.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be part of the leadership team, responsible for driving technology strategy and working closely with the senior engineering team to develop and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive technology strategy and direction for the software engineering function.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the CTO and senior leadership.
  • Ensure the software engineering function is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation for the software engineering team.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong technical background.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working in payments or financial technology a strong advantage.
