We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing evidence-based and outcome-monitored psychological therapies. You will have the opportunity to work with children, young people, and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns, and provide an appropriate evidence-based intervention.
You will be part of a strong multi-disciplinary team, working closely with other professionals, including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, CBT Therapists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
- Working with children, young people, and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns, and provide an appropriate evidence-based intervention.
- Providing consultation, clinical supervision, and training to other professionals.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Conducting assessments and providing evidence-based interventions to children and young people with severe, chronic, and enduring mental health concerns.
- A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
- Post-qualification training or proven equivalent experience in supervision.
- Experience of working with a range of children and young people with complex needs, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems and verbal abuse.
- Experience of undertaking specialist psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions, with the ability to work with complex needs and undertake risk assessments.
- Experience in providing teaching and training.
- Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring the safety of young people in partnership with other agencies as appropriate.
- Experience that evidences an ability to attend to diversity and work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
