About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in the North Cumbria Children\u0027s ADHD Service. As a Clinical Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical members of the team to deliver evidence-based treatment and engage in collaborative working across the multi-agency team.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, alongside their ADHD, diverse presentations, and a range of mental health conditions, under the direction of a registered practitioner.
- Implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team, ensuring that high-quality, individualized care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximizes independence.
- Support in the running of clinics within the assessment and intervention pathways.
- Maintain electronic health records of any treatment interventions completed.
- Work as a member of the team in providing excellent and effective person-centered care.
- Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
- Actively engage with supervision and appraisal processes as identified in Trust policy.

- Education and Qualification
- Essential
- Senior Healthcare Support Worker or equivalent or working towards
- Willing to work towards being trained in ADHD-specific
- Desirable
- Experience of working within a relevant clinical service
- GCSE A-C in maths and English or equivalent

- Knowledge and Experience

- Experience of working/volunteering in an appropriate care setting
- Experience of working with service users who have complex needs
- Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of ADHD
- Previous experience in a community setting
- Experience of involving service users/carers in evaluation/planning and monitoring of services
