Job Title: Corporate Estates Management Specialist

Location: Milton Keynes / Hybrid

Contract: 6-months ongoing

A local authority in Milton Keynes is seeking an Interim Team Leader of Corporate Estates Management to lead and manage the Estates Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering proactive, high-quality, and efficient estates management and valuation services in accordance with professional standards and the Council's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include monitoring the performance and quality of service from the Estates Team and external consultants, as well as defining, developing, implementing, and managing strategies and policies for the management of properties.

Key Requirements:

* Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial property valuation, commercial estates management, and property acquisitions and disposals gained in both the private and public sectors.

* Ability to undertake specialist area valuation and estate management work, including compulsory purchase, rating, and investment and development appraisals.

* Proven team worker with excellent communication skills, able to deal with people professionally, politely, and sensitively at all levels of the organisation.

* Experience in procuring, commissioning, and monitoring external consultants, preferably from a local government viewpoint.
