Job Purpose:

This is a key position within City Facilities Management, responsible for carrying out planned refrigeration case maintenance programmes across multiple site locations. The successful candidate will manage and supervise a case maintenance technician, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while adhering to the company's Health and Safety policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times, developing good working relationships with City colleagues and clients.
  2. Ensure refrigeration case maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescales.
  3. Stay aware of relevant regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks, specifically de-merchandising and re-merchandising of refrigeration units.
  4. Utilize chemicals as required.
  5. Coordinate the activities of the case maintenance team.
  6. Notify the company helpdesk of procedural task conditions for action by the refrigeration engineer.
  7. Ensure sign-off of completed works by the client.
  8. Work with the company and client to maintain laid-down standards of quality at all times.
  9. Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the company.
  10. Support the achievement of company KPIs.
  11. Ensure all systems are working to optimum energy efficiency.
  12. When required, support other engineering disciplines to provide flexibility to service delivery.
  13. Ensure the maintenance of equipment and vehicle to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  14. Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  15. Attend training courses as and where necessary, ensuring personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
People Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the Case Maintenance Technician.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Retail experience is desirable.
  2. Cleaning or maintenance industry experience is desirable.
  3. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Achievement of maintenance programme within agreed timescales.
  5. Speed and efficiency of work.
  6. A helpful and friendly manner.
  7. Customer-focused.
  8. Self-motivated.
  9. Planning and organising skills.
  10. Flexible and adaptable attitude to job role.
  11. Requirement to undertake further personal development.
  12. Willingness to work night shifts.
  13. To be mobile and have a full driving license.
  14. Maintenance of Health and Safety policy.
