About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vac Operator to join our team at Biffa in Seaham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating and monitoring machinery during process operations, ensuring finished goods are taken off and stored safely within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and organization throughout the plant area.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns with the production supervisor or lead technician.
- Support shift participation for near miss and hazard reporting to achieve excellence in Health and Safety.
- Carry out operator duties to ensure machine TPMs are completed safely and correctly.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the team and management.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work.
- A good level of organization and attention to detail.
