Job Title: Lead Specialist Palliative Care Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to lead the Specialist Palliative Care Team across Eastern services.

About the Role

The postholder will work closely with a specialist MDT to plan and deliver specialist care for patients at the end of their lives. The postholder will use advanced communication skills to problem solve complex decision making with patients, relatives and other clinicians across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operational running of the Clinical Nurse Specialists working across the RD&E Wonford.
  • Work closely with a specialist MDT to plan and deliver specialist care for patients at the end of their lives.
  • Use advanced communication skills to problem solve complex decision making with patients, relatives and other clinicians across the Trust.
  • Develop and deliver education programmes to improve the overall delivery of palliative and End of Life care across the Trust.
