Job Description: Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Rochester, Kent
Job Purpose:
The Factory Site Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene across the factory site. This includes effective cleaning and maintenance of all machinery and external areas to meet required standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain visual and microbiological hygiene standards across the site.
- Solve problems and report to the Hygiene Team Leader when necessary.
- Hazmat handling in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
- Adhere to food safety, quality, H&S procedures.
- Clean equipment, perform deep cleaning and external area maintenance.
- Complete documentation accurately.
- Manual handling tasks up to 25kg.
- Clean non-operational areas including toilets, canteens, and warehouses.
- Operate cleaning equipment during shutdowns, adhering to work instructions and safety protocols.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Practical skills for working under pressure and independently.
- Good English language communication skills.
- Flexibility for working in hot conditions or confined spaces.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with a total of 45 hours per week.
