Civil Design Manager

Toro Recruitment is seeking a Civil Design Manager to lead client-focused construction design management for large-scale wind, battery storage, and solar projects. You will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring safety in design and compliance with CDM Regulations, and act as the PD or PSDP contact when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of civil engineers to deliver design and engineering management services, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
  2. Manage team capabilities and resources to align with business needs, ensuring continuous development and training.
  3. Provide risk mitigation strategies to manage and reduce risk exposure across the group.
  4. Develop and maintain management systems and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with business requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in planning phase and construction phase design management (ideally covering multiple disciplines).
  2. Expertise in site infrastructure design for greenfield/brownfield sites.
  3. Commercial awareness (contracts, specification writing, budgeting).
  4. Line management experience.
  5. Strong engineering background, with a transition into design management and line management.
  6. 20% annual bonus.
  7. Hybrid working arrangements.
