Civils Project Manager Job Description

At Alecto Recruitment, we are assisting a global water management organisation with their recruitment of a Civils Project Manager on a permanent basis. The company offers complete groundwater control and management services encompassing design, installation and maintenance programmes to businesses throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement groundwater control schemes for projects on site.
  • Supervise site activities and liaise with clients, site staff, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain documentary records of contractual activities, including monitoring data.
  • Perform project management and dissemination responsibilities, including drafting progress reports and participating in project meetings.
  • Appoint and brief site teams, including specialist subcontractors.
  • Define project programmes and ensure contractual targets are met.
  • Undertake business development activities for new projects.
  • Directly line manage site and monitoring staff.

Requirements:
  • Strong civils and/or geotechnical skills.
  • Experience of project managing construction sites in the UK, particularly with regards to excavation, piling, ground control schemes or similar.
  • Ability to work site and office-based within the UK, with occasional overseas travel.
