The Children's Home Deputy Manager will assist the manager in the management, coordination, and development of quality therapeutic services for young people residing at the home.
The role will ensure the home exceeds all standards as stated in the Children's Home Regulations 2015.
The successful candidate will provide effective, empathetic, and dynamic leadership, coordinating the staff and promoting team development and effective team working.
The Deputy Manager will be responsible for quality inductions for their staff team, ensuring accurate paperwork, and adhering to Health and Safety Regulations.
Requirements- MUST have experience in Residential Children's Social Care with a minimum of one year's experience, ideally as a senior support worker
- An understanding of Trauma-Informed Care and therapeutic background, with a working knowledge of PACE and effective understanding of what a therapeutic placement looks like for children
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills
- Hold a Level 3 NVQ diploma in Residential Childcare
- UK Driving License
- Confidence and understanding of The Children's Home Regulations and all legislation associated with the running of a registered Children's Home
- Confidence when dealing with people, with the ability to challenge, guide, and mentor
- A clear DBS and positive references from all companies where you have worked with children or vulnerable adults
