Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Kepak Group is a leading food company with over 50 years of experience in meat production and processing. We supply prime cuts of meat to major retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice businesses across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and internationally.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities and maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
Job PurposeThe Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment within our production environment. You will work closely with Production Managers, Supervisors, and Line Leaders to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of machinery, including conveyors, packing machines, food processing equipment, and robotics.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and effectively.
- Provide technical support to production teams and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of preventative and predictive maintenance routines.
- Monitor line performance closely and intervene promptly to address any performance deterioration.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Update the maintenance management system (CMMS) accurately and efficiently.

Experience Required:
- Trades Qualification – ONC or equivalent is desirable.
- Practical experience in maintaining food processing equipment is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of modern maintenance practices and principles.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
