We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Sophie Bell & Associates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide expert guidance on commercial matters, including contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- Lead and manage a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure they meet their goals and objectives.
- Coordinate buying, accounts, production control/planning, supply chain management, and procurement techniques to optimize business operations and minimize costs.
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Membership of RICS or MICE is desirable.
- Proven experience in civil engineering, construction, or a related industry.
- Subcontractor experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and experience in managing commercial relationships.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Good management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
