Screwfix, a leading UK retailer, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join its Operational Finance Team. With a strong track record of delivering financial excellence, you will play a key role in preparing accounts and ensuring balance sheet integrity.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. As Fixed Asset Accountant Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small team and contributing significantly to the Screwfix Finance Function.
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a small team, providing regular feedback and conducting 1 to 1s.
- Act as the technical lead on accounting for Fixed and Leased Assets.
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Leased Assets.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Act as a control owner for assigned Internal Controls.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group Financial Reporting Manual.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA within a financial accounting background.
- Experience in the retail industry and large company experience in a centralised head office structure.
