Environmental Law and Regulatory Compliance

The role involves providing advisory services on environmental law, governance, and risk management to clients in the financial services sector. This includes advising on emerging regulations, ensuring compliance, and supporting transactional teams with due diligence reports and drafting warranties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting transactional teams with regulatory matters, including corporate due diligence and warranty drafting.
  • Providing ESG-related advisory services, helping clients navigate emerging regulations and ensuring compliance.
  • Advising on standalone matters across environmental and regulatory issues, preparing policies, analyzing laws, and offering strategic advice.
  • Assisting clients with crisis management and dispute resolution, particularly in response to environmental health and safety incidents.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of PQE, with demonstrable experience in environmental law and/or ESG.
  • Strong academic background and a qualified solicitor in a common law or EU jurisdiction.
  • Transactional experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills, with a keen interest in regulatory law.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
