Job Title: Project Engineer - Nuclear Sector

Framatome, a leading international player in the nuclear energy market, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Bristol, UK. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are met in line with contractual obligations and project expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the liaison between various departments and project managers to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate the design requirements of the project with the design team, including drawings, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Liaise with project controls on the design schedule, risks, and reports as required.
  • Ensure Framatome Ltd is supported technically and controlled according to best practices, meets customer requirements, and minimizes risks for the business.
  • Develop and monitor the manufacturing process.
  • Support the relationship with clients and stakeholders, including third parties and vendors.
  • Liaise with the Quality Manager on investigating NCRs and assisting with effective close-out.
  • Liaise with the HSE Manager to identify design aspects that facilitate safe construction and end-user operation of the product.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector or other heavy, highly regulated industries is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with site surveys, workshop fabrication, and erection would be beneficial.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, 2D and 3D mechanical design, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Solidworks.
  • Understanding of welding and fabrication processes, sufficient engineering capability to create effective engineered solutions, and ability to analyze and interpret specifications and technical procedures.
  • Experience in fabrication of stainless-steel equipment, good understanding of health and safety legislation, and proactive, self-driven, and assertive.

  • Salary in the region of £45,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience).
