About the Role

We are seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team assisting registered nurses in delivering high-quality care to patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist registered nurses and other HCAs in the delivery of direct care to patients within the ward.
  • Support patients with all aspects of their personal hygiene care, including washing, bathing, dressing, continence, and mouth care.
  • Assist with mobility, including hoisting, positioning, and using mobility aids.
  • Support patients with eating and drinking tasks, including using adapted feeding equipment and recording food and fluid intake.
  • Provide proficient communication with patients and others in challenging situations.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation in patient notes.

  • Demonstrate an awareness of RHN's objectives and contribute to achieving them.
  • Strive to improve efficiency in all areas of work.
  • Work as part of the team and assist in delivering a high standard of care.
