Job Title: Healthcare Assistant Bank

We are seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for Student Nurses currently studying a Degree in Nursing at University to gain experience as a Healthcare Assistant while working as part of our multi-disciplinary team (MDT) assisting registered nurses in delivering a high standard of care to patients and residents of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses and other HCAs in the delivery of direct care to patients within the ward.
  • Support patients with all aspects of their personal hygiene care, including washing, bathing, dressing, continence, and mouth care.
  • Assist with mobility, including hoisting, positioning, and assisting with mobility aids.
  • Support patients with eating and drinking tasks, including the use of adapted feeding equipment and recording of food and fluid intake.
  • Provide proficient communication with patients and others in challenging situations.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation in patients' notes.
Requirements

We require enthusiastic, caring, and empathetic Bank Healthcare Assistants to work as part of our MDT. You will need to demonstrate an awareness of RHN's objectives and contribute to achieving them appropriately.
