Senior Mechanical Project Lead

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum

A highly respected Senior Mechanical Project Lead is required to join a leading engineering consultancy specializing in Building Services. With a strong focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for various sectors across the UK and internationally.

This dynamic role involves leading the mechanical design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery, representing the business in front of clients and architects, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical design on large-scale projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
  • Manage the delivery of mechanical design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Produce detailed mechanical designs and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and energy efficiency standards.
  • Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate the mechanical design solutions.
  • Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and design team members to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Mentor junior engineers to ensure their development and provide technical guidance.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' UK experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services industry.
  • Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
  • Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
