Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to lead our Security Operations team at SitePoint Pty. As a key member of our Technology and Information Security team, you will be responsible for implementing, developing, and executing security strategies to protect our users, infrastructure, and data from various threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Security Operations: Monitor networks and systems, detect security threats, analyze and assess alarms, and report on threats, intrusion attempts, and false alarms.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with policies and standards, including ISO 27001 and GDPR, and manage risk and threat assessment, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  3. Security Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective security strategies, including vulnerability management, monitoring, and reporting.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, setting goals and technical direction, and ensuring alignment with the Technology and Information Security roadmaps.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with stakeholders, provide incident response, and generate reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or Network and System Administration.
  2. Technical Skills: Cyber security essentials, ISO 27001/22301, Microsoft 365/Azure, network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus, malware sandboxing reports, security tooling, XDR, EDR, email and remote access security, content filtering, cloud security, anomaly detection, O365, Azure, MS Intune, identity management, cyber-attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  3. Soft Skills: Business sense, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, creativity, and a pragmatic and flexible approach.
  4. Experience: 5 years in IT Security or IT, with a minimum of 4 years in a SOC Analyst, Cyber Threat Hunter, Investigations, Analysis, or Campaign Tracking role.
