Steel Estimation Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Estimator to join our team at Recra Consulting. As a Trainee Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assisting our experienced estimators in preparing bids and proposals for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Quantity Takeoffs: Collaborate with our team to perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Estimate Steel Costs: Learn to estimate the cost of structural steel based on industry standards and pricing guidelines, developing your skills in cost estimation and analysis.
- Support Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing bids and proposals for construction projects, working closely with our experienced estimators to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Risk Assessment: Develop skills in risk assessment to identify potential uncertainties in estimating steel costs, enabling us to make informed decisions and mitigate risks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Support the documentation and reporting process, maintaining accurate records of estimates and project details, and providing regular updates to our team.
- Client Meetings: Shadow and assist senior estimators in client meetings, enhancing your communication and relationship-building skills, and developing a deeper understanding of our clients' needs.
- Industry Knowledge: Continuously learn about steel fabrication processes, installation techniques, and industry best practices, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
- Cost Control: Provide support in cost control activities, assisting in monitoring project costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities, and contributing to the development of cost-effective solutions.
- Ongoing Training: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field, and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Strong Interest in Construction Industry: A strong interest in the construction industry, specifically in steel estimation, and a desire to learn and grow with our team.
- Basic Knowledge of Construction Drawings: Basic knowledge of construction drawings and specifications, and the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
- Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Good mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data accurately.
