Are you a skilled Tax Manager looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Tax Specialist to join our team at Cathedral Appointments Ltd in Yeovil. As a Mixed Tax Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the best possible client experience for our clients in the South West. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the department, including assigning work and developing junior team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance, including personal and business tax regulations. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver client service excellence.

We offer a range of benefits, including flexible and hybrid working, 22 days plus bank holidays increasing by one day per year to a maximum of 27 days, free onsite parking, and WPA Health Insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the tax compliance work for a portfolio of clients across various industry sectors
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the department, including assigning work and developing junior team members
  • Handle HMRC correspondence and client queries, managing tax-only client relationships
  • Assist with tax planning projects, build relationships with work referrers, and attend networking events to identify new business opportunities

Requirements:

  • CTA qualified, with ACA/ACCA qualifications preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance, including personal and business tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver client service excellence
  • Proven supervisory experience and the ability to manage the financial aspects of client work, including billing and debt management
