As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide tailored support that promotes the students' personal, social, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
Facilitate small group sessions and one-on-one interventions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
Assist in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner, using de-escalation techniques.
Serve as a positive role model, encouraging students to engage in school activities and take responsibility for their behaviour.
Collaborate with families, external agencies, and professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for each student.
Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting support strategies as needed.

Requirements:
A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Patience, resilience, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of students. The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of the students and the school.
