THE ROLE
As an Income Recovery Officer, you will be joining an Income Team within a Housing Association, and will be responsible for maximising income recovery efforts across all tenures, ensuring tenancy sustainment, and managing arrears cases through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Prompt recovery of rent arrears and other debts across general needs, shared ownership, and supported tenancies
\u2022 Managing rent accounts and providing tailored support for tenants to sustain tenancies
\u2022 Communicating with tenants through calls, letters, home visits, and unannounced visits to resolve arrears cases
\u2022 Representing the Housing Association in Court proceedings, including preparing legal documents and statements
\u2022 Serving Notices of Seeking Possession and representing cases with a high level of accuracy
\u2022 Supporting tenants with benefit advice and providing referrals for additional support services
\u2022 Consistently achieving KPI targets to reduce arrears percentages
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar income recovery or housing role, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and meeting challenging targets.
Key Requirements:
\u2022 Proven track record in effective income recovery and arrears management
\u2022 Experience in court representation and legal process management
\u2022 Strong communication skills for tenant outreach and negotiation
\u2022 Ability to perform home visits and maintain professional boundaries
\u2022 Understanding of welfare benefits and referral processes
THE CONTRACT
3 months, with the potential for extension. £17.76 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
