Quality Assurance and Compliance Expert

Henderson Group is a leading foodservice provider in Northern Ireland, with a reputation for excellence in food quality and safety. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nightshift Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team.
In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, SALSA standards, and customer codes of practice. You will work closely with our Group Quality Assurance Manager to maintain and improve our quality systems and policies throughout the site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that controls are in place to meet required standards for product safety, quality, and legality.
- Maintaining HACCP systems for all processes to ensure product safety, quality, and legality.
- Controlling documents for the Quality Management System.
- Driving a continuous improvement approach to GMP, plant hygiene, personal hygiene, and product quality issues in the Unit through internal audits and KPI reports.
- Investigating and responding to customer complaints.
- Collections and trending water, swabs, and micro samples on a regular basis.
- Promoting a quality culture within the site by delivering training aimed at improving people's awareness of quality systems and quality standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A third-level food-related qualification.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
- Level 2 HACCP certification.
- Knowledge of quality assurance expectations within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with food safety systems HACCP, GMP, and hygiene standards.
- A valid UK/EU driving license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a full-time position working 36 hours a week. Working hours are typically 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday.
