We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our service delivery, including the allocation of work to vehicles and routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery Management: Responsible for the dynamic allocation of work to vehicles and routes, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Customer Communication: Proactively communicate with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers throughout the day.
  • Debrief and Reporting: Complete the debrief process within the allocated time and report any necessary action or updates as required.
  • Workforce Engagement: Maintain an engaged workforce and be the face-to-face contact with drivers on a daily basis, supporting them to act on issues identified on the rounds.
  • Safety and Compliance: Report all safety concerns or container damage via close call reporting and encourage 'stop the job' if it is deemed unsafe to continue in line with company operating procedures and processes.
  • Veolia Compliance: Ensure Veolia legal compliance on site, including WTD and transport compliance.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience operating within a similar industry, such as waste, transport, or logistics.
  • Transport Compliance: Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, able to communicate with people of all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize a busy workload and operate at a fast pace.
  • IT Skills: Experienced IT skills, including MS Office 2000 and the ability to adapt to Google.
