Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Radiographer to support the expansion of our imaging departments and the introduction of additional imaging capacity across our modalities.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied role working within all of the Trust's Hospitals, utilizing their highly developed skills and expertise in a wide range of modalities including CT, Interventional Radiography, Paediatric Imaging, Fluoroscopy, Emergency Department and General Imaging.

As a Band 7 Radiographer, the individual will also be required to manage and lead an area of the Radiology Department in the absence of the Superintendent Radiographer, enhancing their skills in all modalities while gaining valuable experience in leadership and supervision.

The Radiology Department runs a 24/7 service and operates an out of hours system, wherein radiographers are contracted to work shifts at night, on weekends and bank holidays.

Our radiographers rotate across St Thomas', Guy's, Evelina London Children's Hospital and Guy's Cancer Centre, with access to a fantastic combination of routine, varied and often highly specialised experiences.

The successful candidate will have highly developed skills and expertise in a wide range of modalities, including CT, Interventional, Paediatric, Fluoroscopy, ED and General Imaging, as well as experience in managing and leading an area of the Radiology Department.

Knowledge/Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • MSc level qualification or equivalent experience
  • State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council UK

Desirable

  • Evidence of post graduate study

  • Suitable post-graduate experience
  • Evidence of multidisciplinary team working
  • Experience in Emergency Department Imaging
  • Experience in CT scanning or Interventional imaging
  • Experience in student supervision
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Experience in clinical evaluation of technology and procurement processes
  • Evidence of audit or involvement in clinical governance
  • Experience in leadership, co-coordinating theatres and mobiles or deputising in the absence of a superintendent
