Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Academic Physical Education Specialist to join our team at a Primary School in North Birmingham.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading PE lessons across the school, supporting pupils to access the curriculum, and providing emotional support and behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead PE lessons for students of varying ages and abilities
  • Support pupils with daily tasks and activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being
  • Maintain a patient and empathetic approach when working with students

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • PE specialist qualification or experience teaching PE in Primary settings
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children

What We Offer

This is a fixed term contract opportunity for the correct candidate, potentially leading to a permanent position. The salary for this role is £100 - £140 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position in contributing to the educational development of our students.

Location and Working Hours

The successful candidate will be based in Birmingham, working 8:30am - 3:30pm. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment, valuing the contributions of our staff members.
