Sontex Machinery Ltd is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Field Service Technician. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional electrical and mechanical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and refurbish our range of packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our growing customer base through excellent customer service and technical expertise.
- Travel nationwide to install, commission, and train customers on our packaging machinery.
- Monitor and troubleshoot packaging processes to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with customers to schedule and prioritize work, ensuring maximum time efficiency.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers, including spare part inquiries, orders, and technical queries.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience in electrical, electronic, and mechanical disciplines.
- Strong understanding and ability to fault diagnose problems with our packaging machinery.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK full clean driving license.
- Occasional overnight 'stop-overs' may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS7671, C&G 2365, or NVQ equivalent.
- Good basic geographical knowledge of UK locations.
