Delivering Excellence in Quantity Surveying

We're seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Clancy, where we're dedicated to making life better for everyone's growing families. As a key member of our commercial team, you'll play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering brilliant infrastructure solutions while developing your career in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce weekly and monthly cost value reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Capture and allocate costs and liabilities, maintaining a thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract and relevant construction and contract law.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with internal and external teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Manage opportunities and risks, identifying deviations from working practices and escalating issues promptly.
  • Assist in developing commercial tenders, offers, and contracts, ensuring clear commercial information and positively challenging situations.
  • Identify and escalate inappropriate costs, maintaining accurate contract data and records.
  • Record and track insurance claims, capturing and reporting direct labour payments, and drafting and awarding sub-contracts.
  • Share best practices for continuous improvement, prioritizing your own workload and acting collaboratively to inspire others.

Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a relevant degree in construction or commercial management, experience in subcontractor management, and a strong commercial awareness. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with advanced Excel skills.
