Job Summary



Protocol Education is seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Sunderland, supporting students with diverse learning needs and contributing positively to their educational journey.



About the Role




  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with varying needs, focusing on their strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies, enhancing student learning and progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior, providing valuable insights for teaching strategies and student support.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative working environment, working closely with other support staff and teachers to enhance student learning and well-being.


Requirements




  • A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a strong understanding of learning theories and child development.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting, with a focus on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development, with a commitment to providing high-quality support and guidance.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students, with a flexible and patient approach to supporting students with varying abilities and challenges.
