Think Specialist Recruitment is excited to be supporting a young, rapidly growing electrical wholesale business in their search for a Head of Finance/Finance Director to join their High Wycombe office.
This is a newly created position that requires a qualified Accountant with year end experience and exposure in a high-growth SME business. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing all accounts in house from the external accountants and helping the business during its next period of growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic work with the MD to build and grow the business
- Management of the back-office team
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Financial reporting
- Production of end of year accounts
- Transition to Group reporting
- Ensure that all financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents are accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage HMRC submissions for PAYE and VAT.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Bringing Payroll in house
- Budgets and Forecasting
- Financial strategy
- Cashflow
- Analysis of potential expansion opportunities
- Management of customer credit
- Management of credit insurance
- Seeking opportunities to streamline the business and enhance profitability
The ideal candidate will have worked within a wholesale business, perhaps within retail or distribution, and have experience in a high growth business. This is a number one role in Finance and requires someone who can manage the full cycle of accounts, including management of transactional staff through to year end accounts.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved with other business ventures supporting the MD in future plans and will be required onsite in High Wycombe.
