About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our client's design department and contribute to the development of their innovative product roadmap.

As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and cost-effective PCB designs that meet specific project requirements for both development and manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PCBs that meet industry standards and project requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in PCB designs and propose changes where applicable
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective PCB integration into the finished product
  • Evaluate PCB product design and process capability using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFMA) studies and design reliability tests
  • Apply relevant toolsets, such as 6 Sigma, to improve PCB performance

Requirements:

  • HNC / ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Full understanding of IPC standards
  • Experience in multi-layer PCB design and manufacturing
  • Exposure to high current boards
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, ECadstar, Blueprint, MRP/ERP, and data management software
  • Application of Design/Process capability assessment and improvements & DFMA tools

We are looking for a candidate with an innovative approach to PCB design, excellent electrical engineering knowledge, and a strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.
