Maintenance Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at our Wisbech site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of maintenance work, both preventative and corrective.
- Carry out and register mandatory inspections.
- Assess the in- and outsourced technical activities of Lineage in the designated site and develop existing and new talent.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Site Manager on all recruitment, termination of employment, promotion, and salary/payroll issues of technical staff.
- Conduct appraisal and performance interviews.
- Responsible for the spare parts in accordance with the established procedure and ordering spare parts after approval.
- Responsible for an optimal stock of spare parts.
- Engage a supplier for the efficient handling of malfunctions/repairs if necessary.
- Work closely with the Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of the actions/activities to be taken.
- Administer company policies and manage local SOPs.
- Ensure accidents are investigated according to the company's accident investigation procedures.
- Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation.
- Supervise, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties within the Maintenance Team to ensure Health and safety are adhered to and conduct weekly meetings with the Site Management and engineering team.
- Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
- Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving.
About You:
- Multi-skilled Electronically and mechanically qualified, NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship trained, with mechanical experience.
- A minimum of five years of successful distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership experience.
- A business background to include competency in maintaining/engineering the various functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, warehouse automation, IT systems, and supply chain optimization.
- Experience of working with automation.
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team.
- Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
- Ability to drive.
