We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Origination Specialist to join our Global Origination team at Uniper.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand pipelines of potential power transactions in the UK through building relationships with counterparties and understanding commercial requirements.
  • Originate PPA transactions with asset owners, including fixed-price and day-ahead contracts.
  • Identify downstream power transaction opportunities with customers and counterparties to optimize management of Uniper's physical and contractual asset portfolio.
  • Provide leadership for commercial initiatives and take accountability for negotiating, structuring, and executing structured power transactions to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor strategic commercial initiatives and champion them within the company to maximize value associated with existing contracts.
  • Contribute market insights to the product management team to ensure Uniper's product offerings remain competitive and cutting-edge.

  • You have a strong network of relationships across the energy value chain, including producers, customers, and trading counterparties.
  • You possess an established track record of originating, negotiating, and closing diverse types of power transactions.
  • You have a sound understanding of the UK power market and regulatory developments.
  • You bring an entrepreneurial mindset with a 'can-do' attitude to develop the business and drive growth.
  • You possess strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative way of working.
  • You have a solid grasp of risk concepts, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks.
  • You understand various power transaction contracts and their nuances.
