Henry Blue: A Leading Role in Nuclear Skills

The Head of Training and Education – Nuclear Skills at Henry Blue is a senior leadership position that oversees the operational management, delivery, and compliance of the Sellafield Apprenticeship contract.

This critical role ensures training programs focusing on nuclear skills are delivered effectively, meeting all contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while maintaining high standards of education and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership team members to drive and implement strategic objectives.

This includes responsibility for delivering nuclear-specific apprenticeship programs, short courses, and additionalities as outlined in the contract with Sellafield.

Estimated Salary: £72,000 per annum

About the Position:

Nuclear Industry Expertise:

  • Proven experience in managing training programs within the nuclear industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
  • Experience in leading teams and driving educational initiatives.

Operational Management:

  • Responsibility for the operational management of the contract.
  • Ensuring educational programs meet industry standards and are delivered in a safe, secure, and compliant manner.

Strategic Objectives:

  • Taking responsibility for the effective delivery of nuclear-specific apprenticeship programs, short courses, and additionalities.
  • Driving and implementing strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant industry certifications or qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing training programs within the nuclear industry.
