We are a leading affordable luxury footwear and accessories brand in the UK, with broad distribution across both the UK and internationally.
Our company has 50 stores in the UK and over 100 in 25 countries around the world. We are entering a period of sustained growth through additional stores, expansion of sales on our online channels and through third-party partners.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Assistant Buyer seeking their next step up or a current Senior AB looking for a change.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Job Description:This role involves demonstrating excellent commercial awareness and being aware of other retailer activity and its impact on our business. You will build a commercial range under the supervision of the Buyer, presenting that range with authority to the team and reacting positively to criticism.
You will be responsible for trading the range, showing reactivity and flexibility. This includes understanding trading figures and their impact on the business, taking initiative on trade and putting forward recommendations to the Buyer.
You will liaise with suppliers on a day-to-day basis, ensuring excellent communication and follow-through. Additionally, you will monitor the product cycle regarding development, confirmation samples orders' negotiations.
You must have excellent knowledge of current and future ranges. Good negotiation skills and the confidence to present are essential. You will also manage BAAs to ensure all priorities are met and developed needs addressed, while highlighting your own development needs.
