Job Summary

We are pleased to announce the recruitment of a talented Business Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering support and management of critical business systems and applications serving the SThree global user base throughout their life cycle from implementation to decommission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active delivery of system support and management, ensuring users are educated and trained to fully utilise the systems.
  • Ownership of several critical applications/systems, understanding how each has been designed, implemented, and configured.
  • Actively managing support teams to ensure SLAs are met, customer experiences are acceptable, and acting as an escalation point for the business and support teams.
  • Reviews releases, upgrades, security patches, and fixes available from system software suppliers, identifying those which merit action.
  • Delivers learning activities to colleagues with varying levels of competence and experience, covering relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills using diverse methods, tools, online environments, equipment, and materials.
  • Tailors and configures system software to ensure functionality is exploited in line with business needs.
  • Collections performance data to monitor system efficiency against published service level agreements.
  • In the event of system software failure, collects critical information, adheres to agreed procedures, analyses documentation, storage dumps, and logs to identify the failing component, liaises with suppliers, installs corrective code, and tests it to ensure a permanent resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of system development and the service management lifecycles, system interfaces, and awareness of further configurations.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting of enterprise applications.
  • Creation and operation of procedures (manual and/or scripted) to support wider Service Delivery Function.
  • Principles and practice of project management including project planning, monitoring, control, change control, configuration management, effort estimation, quality, risk management, and communication between project stakeholders.
  • Techniques used to plan and execute tests of all software components to verify that the software satisfies specified requirements of the resulting service and to detect errors.
  • Experience of frameworks and standards for information security management.

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
