Join Our Fire Engineering Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Fire Engineer to join our team in London, Leeds, or Sheffield. As a key member of our fire safety consulting team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality fire engineering services to our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team of fire safety consultants. You will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of fire engineering services on our projects, working closely with our fire engineers and multidisciplinary teams at Arup.

As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of diverse and exciting projects, from conceptual fire strategy development to handing over landmark projects in the built environment. You will also have the chance to attend training and development courses, conferences, and CPD events to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality fire safety solutions on time and on budget
  • Assist with the implementation of fire engineering services on our projects
  • Work closely with our fire engineers and multidisciplinary teams at Arup
  • Manage junior engineers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Attend training and development courses, conferences, and CPD events to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Degree in fire safety engineering or a relevant subject
  • Chartered with a relevant institution such as the Institution of Fire Engineers
  • Extensive exposure in delivering fire engineered solutions for UK-based projects
  • Familiarity with appropriate legislation and design guidance for use in the UK
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas to clients and stakeholders
