We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our site services team in developing our award-winning Android Sports Native App.

You will be working with a growing team of talented developers who are responsible for the Native App development, delivering high-quality user interfaces, interactivity, and performance. As part of the software development function, you will work collaboratively with your team throughout all stages of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure timely delivery through to the Google Play Store.

Your primary responsibility will be working with a large and ever-expanding Kotlin codebase to enhance our Sports App. This includes feature development and enhancements, issue resolution, and performance improvements, as well as tooling production and automation.

This role offers an estimated salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing clean and efficient code using Kotlin in Android Studio
  • Familiarity with modern Android libraries and APIs
  • Experience with unit testing including frameworks such as Espresso
  • Knowledge of web technologies, Chrome Web Inspector, or Android WebView APIs
  • Ability to debug and address memory and performance issues

In addition, you will have the opportunity to architect, design, and develop complex feature-rich applications for the Android platform.
