We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team at Reed, a global, award-winning, family-founded professional services firm based near Clifton Triangle, Bristol.

As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of insurance business, taking ownership of accounts in collaboration with the sales team. You will review and assess new insurance business applications, provide quotes and prices for one-off insurance cover, and use your analytical skills to understand historic trends and claims experiences to set renewal terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own portfolio of insurance business
  • Review and assess new insurance business applications
  • Provide quotes and prices for one-off insurance cover
  • Use analytical skills to understand historic trends and claims experiences
  • Liaise with insurance companies, brokers, and other intermediaries as required

About You:

  • Comfortable working with and manipulating numbers in Excel
  • Proven relevant experience, but not necessarily in an insurance discipline
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess information quickly and effectively
  • Organized and able to prioritize work as needed
  • Good level of education (minimum of 5 GCSEs)
