About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Jacobs, a leading provider of professional, technical, and construction services. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in supporting our Commercial and Procurement teams in delivering projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop close working relationships with project teams, finance, sales departments, and clients' representatives to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Manage subcontracts from initial placement of order to final account, including close liaison with procurement, planning, and delivery teams.
  • Provide support for Project Controls and Cost Engineers to submit cost reports for review by the Commercial Manager.
  • Maintain accurate cost control, registers of variations, delay, extension of time, early warnings, and claims.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualification.
  • Background in either Engineering, Oil & Gas, or Water/Utilities Sectors.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and working knowledge of Construction Contracts, with specific focus on the NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate confidently and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of XL and bespoke construction contract management systems.
