Job Summary

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to provide technical support to our manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering optimum plant reliability and performance through effective asset maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance using electrical, control system, and mechanical engineering skills.
  • Supporting site reliability initiatives, including identification of failure modes and trends, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activities to deliver key maintenance KPIs.
  • Supporting and coaching manufacturing technicians to develop their technical skills.
  • Providing support to and involvement in site project and change initiatives as appropriate.
  • Contractor control, including issuing permits to work and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
Requirements
  • Indentured time-served apprentice with an electrical bias, holding a minimum of 18th edition certification.
  • City & Guilds 2391 holder.
  • Understanding of SCADA control systems, computer systems, and networking.
  • PLC experience required, with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens an advantage.
  • Ideal candidate will have FMCG experience and lean experience and control skills.
  • Experience of leading and coaching a team.
  • Excellent influencing, presentation, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong team player with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Computer literate.
