About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Town Planner to join our client, a smaller, privately-owned planning consultancy with a reputation for delivering exceptional results across a diverse range of projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
  • Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare planning policy reviews and reports.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support senior planners in managing a variety of planning projects from inception to completion.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in planning legislation and policy.
About You
  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Some relevant experience in planning (work placements or internships considered).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A good understanding of UK planning legislation and processes.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
