We are seeking a skilled Tube Bending and Finishing Specialist to join our team at MacStaff in the south of Salisbury.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with conventional and CNC machines, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

The salary for this role is approximately £30,000 per annum, paid as £13-£15 per hour plus overtime and benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manufacturing tubular frames using a CNC machine
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders to determine production specifications and requirements
  • Measuring and marking tubing for cutting and bending, ensuring precision in dimensions
  • Monitoring machine operations to maintain consistent quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised workspace

You will also be responsible for operating sawing, deburring, and milling machines, as well as adhering to quality standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Machine shop experience
  • Able to work to technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience of operating CNC machines
  • Able to inspect work to quality standards
  • A good standard of education (GCSEs A-C or equivalent)
  • Mechanical engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent)
