Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining governance in international partnerships with customers and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the drafting, negotiation, and completion of contractual arrangements with customers and partners, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the business.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all legal requirements, encompassing health and safety, procurement law, product safety, compliance, export control, and ethical business conduct, to maintain the integrity of the Air Sector business.
  • Engage early in dispute resolution processes, strategizing and implementing effective solutions to swiftly address challenges and uphold the business's reputation for excellence and integrity.
  • Provide expert legal advice and solutions across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with international global customers and industry collaborators, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of the Air Legal Team, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
  • UK qualified solicitors or barristers with appropriate leading law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • Experience of operating within a commercial environment.
  • Sound knowledge of, and experience of dealing with, relevant areas of the law.
